At my house, we love to celebrate après, so we’re always stocked with veggies cut up, cheeses ready to go, and a pantry full of nuts, dried fruits and ingredients for whipping up a quick dip like this Avocado miso dip or a fast tapenade. Serving up an après board is always easy and a fun, and the combinations are endless!
A different spin on Guacamole, this super-easy and super-tasty avocado dip is a great addition to your après board and will refuel your body after a long day of skiing. A spoonful of miso adds a greatly satisfying flavour, as well as some healthful probiotics. Vitamin-rich pesto will also help replenish your muscles after a day on the slopes.
Easy Avocado Spread
1 ripe avocado
1 teaspoon of Shiro Miso paste
1 teaspoon of pesto
Mash’em all together! Serve up alongside other après board favourites – cheeses, crackers, hummus, tapenade, sliced peppers, carrots, celery and a baguette.
Pesto and miso paste are two pantry staples I always like to have around. Pesto adds great flavour to anything or is great on its own. Perfect in sandwiches, scrambled eggs or for some quick pasta. Miso aids digestion by providing healthy probiotics, and a little bit of miso mixed in warm water is a great way to add flavour to a stir fry. Even just plain miso soup is delicious and nutritious! Enjoy responsibly – with copious amounts of wine, beer and friends. :)
