We are starting to see some of the first vegetables coming into season in BC! Along with a plethora of fresh greens (mustard, spinach, kale and lettuce) Olives Community Market is now carrying Squamish Rhubarb. This 'pie plant' contains lots of potassium, vitamins C and A, fibre and calcium. Rhubarb mixes well with sweeter fruits such as strawberries, apples or raspberries.

Strawberry Rhubarb Smoothie
1 cup liquid (yogurt, apple juice, or if you really want to go all out, try it with Triple Jims Apricot Sunset!)
½ stalk of rhubarb
6 - 7 strawberries
Hemp seeds (for protein and a bit of nuttiness in your smoothie)
